Diamond Dash (Mario Party Remake)

READ THE FOLLOWING OR THE GAME WILL NOT WORK:

Hello! This is Diamond Dash, a 4 player multiplayer game inspired by Mario Party. This game was made to be played online via your network. Because the game is to be played on a network, you must set up "port-forwarding"

To do that, go to your router settings (the method for this varies for each provider, but for me, I open the Spectrum app on my phone). Typically under the advanced tab, you're looking for something along the lines of "port forwarding" or "dedicated port" or "custom port id". Once you find this, establish a custom port for your device as 64198. If you do not do this, the game WILL NOT WORK.

If you're hosting the game, you're going to want to know some hotkeys. First, Z+M+7 ends a player's turn if they get stuck on the board for whatever reason (the player has to use this hotkey). If the puck gets shot out of the map in hockey, use Z+M+0 to return it to the middle. Z+M+9 takes all players back to the map (I think). Z+M+ (P/O/I/U/Y/L/K/J/H/G) takes you to minigames. Beware, using Z+M+G sets the game to round 21 which IS the 10th minigame but effectively ends the game afterwards. There is no undo for any of these commands, and even if it looks like nothing changed, they can break the game. Only use these commands if you absolutely have to.

If anyone closes the game while playing, the game is softlocked and cannot be finished

Minigame 9 is stupid.

DO NOT USE A CUSTOM DICE WHILE STANDING ON A SHOP SPACE. It sometimes causes the user to be unable to move. No idea why.

After that, have fun! You WILL experience bugs, and probably a lot of them.
